How to measure your head size
To get the most accurate head measurements for a custom hat, please follow these steps:
- Prepare the Measuring Tape: Use a flexible, non-stretchable measuring tape to ensure accuracy.
- Position the Tape Correctly:
- Begin at the center of your forehead, just above the eyebrows.
- Wrap the tape around your head, making sure it stays above your ears and circles the largest part of the back of your head.
- Ensure the tape is level all the way around.
- Measure Snugly but Not Too Tight: The tape should be snug against your head without squeezing, similar to how you’d want your hat to fit comfortably.
- Take the Measurement:
- Use a mirror or have someone help to make sure the tape is level.
- Record the measurement where the tape meets the starting point.
- Double-Check Your Measurement: For accuracy, measure your head twice. If the measurements differ, take a third measurement and use the average of the three.
- Record in Inches or Centimeters: Write down the measurement in either inches or centimeters, based on your preference or the hat maker’s requirements.
